E&A introduced QuickQuote at INTEX 2011, the leading trade show for the interior and exterior construction industry. The event was held at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 6-7, 2011. 

Jeff Sprowls and Tom Birdwell represented E&A at INTEX booth #1302.  D. Jay DeFoor from DeFoor Drywall & Acoustical Supply, who has worked closely with E&A on the development of QuickQuote, lent his assistance explaining the benefits of the application to attendees.  Also present to lend a hand was Ross Paulick from Infor.

“Building material distributors often struggle with manually adjusting price changes for lengthy commercial construction projects,” said Jeff. “QuickQuote saves time and money by allowing managers to setup the project in a master workbook.  Escalator controls yield more accurate pricing based on dated columns and job end dates. Pricing can be incrementally adjusted over time by simply entering a percentage or dollar amount into the tool.”

Distributors benefit by vastly decreasing the amount of manual effort required to maintain quotes for specific jobs that include commodities such as drywall, insulation and metal; whose prices often fluctuate due to changing market conditions.  Importantly, the distributor can gain a competitive advantage by providing more timely and accurate estimates of material costs to their customers.

E&A’s solution is seamlessly integrated with Infor Distribution Enterprise (SX.e), a leading enterprise solution preferred by thousands of wholesale/distribution computer users worldwide.  Plans call for integration with Infor Distribution Business (FACTS) in the future.

As part of the new product celebration, the first twenty five (25) people who visited the booth to discuss the QuickQuote solution received a free beverage tumbler courtesy of E&A. At the conclusion of the show, E&A announced that Scott Negwer of Negwer Materials in St. Louis, Missouri won the door prize, an Apple iPod awarded courtesy of booth co-sponsor Infor. Congrats, Scott!
